MARY IRENE WEYGINT
Chanute -- Services for Mary Irene Weygint, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. today at Johnson Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute.
Mrs. Weygint died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at her home.
She was born in West Warwick, R.I., the daughter of Andrew and Josephine (Pecynski) Richtarik. She graduated from Newport (R.I.) Hospital School of Nursing and New York University.
Mrs. Weygint had been a teaching supervisor at Queens General Hospital, New York, and had owned and operated Weygint Oil Company, Chanute.
She married Charles Harrison Weygint in 1948 in West Warwick, R.I. He died June 27, 1959.
Survivors include a son, Andrew Weygint, Lawrence; and four grandchildren.

EUDORA - Mary Irene Weygint, 90, formerly of Chanute, died at her residence in Eudora on Oct. 19, 1999.
She was born March 7, 1909 at West Warrick, R.I., the daughter of Andrew and Josephine Pecynski Richtarik.
She attended West Warrick schools. She graduated from New Port Hospital School of Nursing, Newport, R.I. She studied psychiatry at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington, D.C. She graduated from New York University, New York City, later becoming a teaching supervisor of surgical nurses and nursing administrator in Queens General Hospital, New York City.
In 1948, she married Charles Harrison Weygint in West Warrick, R.I. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1959.
After the death of her husband, she owned and operated Weygint Oil Company in Chanute and also worked for Dr. James Gough. She retired and moved to Lawrence, where she remained active in community organizations and private nursing.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Weygint, Lawrence and four grandchildren, Charles R. Weygint, Virginia A. Weygint, and Jonathan M. Weygint, all of Lawrence, and Julie E. Weygint, Shawnee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Olga Guidotti and her brothers Alfred, Alphonse and Joseph Richtarik.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Johnson Mortuary.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 22, 1999 at Johnson Mortuary. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Johnson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
