Lord of Affenden, Blyenbeck, Walbeck, etc., Knight who died at Blyenbeck, August 3, 1525. After having a natural son by Gertgen Brugers, he married Alheit Custers of Arssen. This marriage was, according to ecclesiastical law, null and void, from the fact that Alheit Custers was related in the third degree to Gertgen Brugers. This resulted in a contest in various courts and before various rulers, lasting seventy years, for the possession of their father's estates by his sons.
